My neighbors had that John Deere rake and I did get to rake hay with it. Those were good days working for them.

Among my favorite childhood memories is that of my grandfather teaching me to plow with his Ford 8N and a two bottom plow. I’d give anything to go back in time and do that again.

I have a No 6 sheller on similar truck chassis for parts. Drive belts are in excellent condition. And a very good condition PTO No 6 on a truck frame trailer for sale. Has 40 feet of good drag with independent hyd motor drive--with some spare chain!

Thanks for the video. I raked hay for years on my family farm with a 2010 gas row crop utility tractor and a John Deere three-point rake. Later I used a New Holland pull rake with a John Deere 50. Good memories.

Looks like you needed a shorter hitch pin. I was cutting yesterday and had the same problem and pto shaft started picking up hay from it. Kudos on your turns!

My Grandfather has a 1966 JD 4020 Diesel with the Syncro Range transmission. The tractor has 13000 hours on it and still runs like a top!

That was a "man" in its heyday. Love the 5010/5020. A farmer near me used to have a row crop 5020. Wish I could have ended up with it. His family sold it off after he died.
